Line and Shape Assignment
The locations I chose to take my pictures varied from inside and outside of my house. For my photos, I chose line and shape for my subject matter. The distance in most of my pictures are very close to the subject. When I took the photos, I took them mostly straight on or from below. I feel that photos get a better look when the camera is turned at a different angle. My photographs are mostly vertical and one being horizontal. I did not consider the rule of thirds to compose my shots considering this is the first time I am getting the hang of things. To me, the photo that is a dynamic composition is the photo of the wall decal. I feel that the photo successfully leads the viewer's eye through the work in which there is a reflection of the wall decal which adds contrast to the photo. Each of the photos have their own meaning to them which makes each photo unique.
Pattern & Texture Assignment In School
My best photo out of the six pictures that I took in school is the brick wall of the school. In this photo, I was very close to the wall and aimed the camera at an angle to get the wall in the background. My point of view when taking this photo is straight on with a slant of the camera. My photograph is horizontal. This photo does not follow the rule of thirds because it is at a slant and sort of has a blurriness in the background. This photo is an example of pattern because it has repetition of the rectangular bricks on the wall. The image that may be overexposed is the fence considering the whiteness of behind the fence. The image that may be underexposed is the image of the track. The area that may be too dark could be the area around the arrow on the track; the background of the image. The best image I believe is the best example of a properly exposed photo is the photo of the raindrop. It evenly displays the grays, whites and blacks in the photo.
