Reflection Reflected
Studio Portraits
The fourth image is the photo that I will be reflecting off of. The lighting of this photo is my favorite. The light is coming from down below. The lighting falls on my face where the left side of my face is covered due to the darkness. The light reflects only on the right side of my face. In this photo, I am facing forward and looking directly at the camera. The image was captured of just my head. This picture is horizontal in which it was taken directly straight forward without an angle. In order to capture the lighting, the image was taken closely to my face. The lighting expresses a dark environment. The personality in the image is serious. Comparing this photo the second photo, the lighting is different. The lighting in the second photo is directly facing her face as she's slightly at an angle looking into the far.
Self Portraits
To create the images, they were shot on a timer. The location of where the middle image was taken was at my house. The time of when the image was taken was during the day. The techniques that were used to take the photo was leading lines and framing. Aperture and the shutter speed was considered in taking the images. In taking these photos, I was sitting/standing straight smiling. The depth of field was very successful in these images. These photos are self portraits because they are not at an angle and taken straight.
Double Exposure
The images that I selected for my double exposure were the images that were taken in the school studio. The objects relate compositionally by how much opacity was chosen between the two images. I manipulated and modified each image by using photoshop and carefully choosing how much I wanted an image to appear in front of or in back of the other image. Opening the photos in photoshop, I made the window 2-up vertical in order to view both images. I then chose to make my photos black and white, choosing between the gray scale. Then I dragged one image on top of the other. Next, I chose the opacity of the image in order to decide how much I wanted one of the images to appear. Lastly, I chose the tool (Scale) that gave me the option to move around the image. My images relate conceptually by getting a creative concept of each image. The concepts convey creativity and independence.

Photo #4
This image displays painting with light. I combined several different light sources to create multiple colors. It shows a variety of lines; thin, thick and smooth. I set the shutter speed on the camera to 15 seconds. The light source that I used to create the "painting" was an egg toy that spun with different colored lights along with a colored flashlight. I achieved the image/effect by combining the different light sources. The impact that the photo has is a creative and colorful look to it. The viewer would feel that the images are vivid.

Photo #5
This image exhibits an interesting use of depth of field and repetition. The ISO for this image would have been 400, and the shallow depth of field was created with an f-stop of f/5.6. My point of view when taking this photo was taken close to the wall, but at an angle to capture the bricks in the far ground. This photo follows the rule of thirds because of the lines created by the spaces around the bricks that correspond to the gridlines for the rule of thirds. This photo is a great example of pattern because it has repetition of the rectangular bricks on the wall. I was able to show an interesting point of view by keeping the bricks in the foreground in focus and having the bricks in the background become a blur.

Photo #6
This photo shows a shallow depth of field. I had the f-stop at about 5.6. The ISO for the shallow of depth images was at 400 as well. The white balance settings that were used consisted of Incandescent for this image. To capture this image, I considered taking the photo horizontally and at a slight angle to get the first jack to look closer than the others. The subject holds the viewer's attention by having the first jack very close and clear while the other jacks are fuzzy and in a far.
